SABITMountaineer Inc. is a non-stock and non-profit organization. SABIT means Society of Adventurers, Bringing Interactions To all Mountaineers. SABITMountaineer was founded last June 27, 2005 by a group of individuals who share common passion for nature and individuals who love joining other groups in exploring mountains. It was accredited by SEC last October 10, 2005. Everybody is welcome to join the group (free lance mountaineers) even those who already have a group. The group doesn’t have officers, only “Organizers of the Climb” as the group avoids any political issues to arise. Members are called ka-SABIT. Every ka-SABIT is free to suggest on climb schedules and projects. The “Organizers of the Climb” (Everyone are free to be) take full responsibility in designating the member's obligations for the group, but the non-organizers still have the right to raise suggestions…we are all equal. Every one is free to join the other group climbs and projects...as the group says "SABIT na!", we are all free, and proud to be SABITMountaineer.
SABITMountaineer aims to provide ka-SABIT an enjoyable but responsible mountaineering experiences and the opportunity to be free even in a group. The group aims to provide companionship for individual mountaineers. The group is committed to provide its ka-SABIT basic training (BMC) to enhance each ka-SABIT’s mountaineering skills and leadership abilities by giving them freedom to organize climb. Also, the group aims to promote an outdoor ethics (LNT) and responsible mountaineering and to provide ka-SABIT a variety of activities to participate with through group’s projects or other group’s invitational projects. The group aims to be active as it can be in the preservation of our resources.
